“Hulk Enjoy Shiny Format And Touch-Sensitive Buttons!”
I’ve spent the past week lambasting Apple’s “new iPad“ for the sheer idiocy of the idea that an iPod Touch built for the use and enjoyment of the Incredible Hulk is going to ‘save the newspaper/book/comic industry’, the primary reason being that there is nothing that serves as a substitute for a solid, in-your-hands tome with pages that crinkle and notes in biro on the margins.
And yet…more recently I was pleased to discover that I could save money on Plato’s Republic by virtue of having a copy on my Sony eReader…and of course, I read webcomics and write/draw my own webcomic, all of which have only a slight chance of ever being published in the real world. Is there a little horned hypocrite dancing the jig on my left hemisphere?
